Aissata Cisse, Leonardo Di Ser Piero Da Vinci
Leonardo Di Ser Piero Da Vinci born April, 15 1452 - May 2 1519 was a painter, sculptor, artchitect, musician, scientist, mathematician, engineer, inventor, anatomist, and geologist. Leonardo was as you can say the typical Renaissance man, a man as they called him "unquenchable curiosity". He was described as one of the greatest painters of all times and diversely talented person. His vision towards the world was practical than mysterious. Most of his work was done in Italy, France, and Rome, which one of his most famous paintings were done "The Mona Lisa".

external image joconde.jpgThe painting was thought to be the portrait of Lisa Gherardini, wife of Francesco. The portrait was thought to be done around 1503 and 1506. The painting was so famous that it was stolen i August 21, 1911 and for 2 years they haven't found the painting. There was one suspects a french poet Guillaume Apollinaire, but the real theft was one of the employees in museum Vincenzo Peruggia. He was an Italian patriot who believed the painting should be brought to it's home in Italy. He became impatient of the waiting and tried to sell it to the directors in Florence Italy. The painting was shown throughout Italy and and returned to Louvre in 1913. Vincenzo Peruggia was sentenced to six months in jail for the crime he committed.
